Hamstead campus
One of the University's newer campuses is found at Hamstead, about two miles from the main City North campus, and features a Grade II listed Hall built in 1881 which was originally used as a Methodist Training College. The campus is purely residential.

At Hamstead there are twelve three-storey student residence blocks and two houses which, in total, provide accommodation for around 700 students. The whole complex is set in beautiful grounds which belie its essentially urban setting.
