“Birmingham is a cultured and vibrant city, full of quirky and popular places to visit. A social and cultural heaven”

Welcome to Child Care Services

To enable students (and staff) to meet the demands of their busy lives, we have two nurseries offering low-cost child care for children aged:

  • 6 months to school age at City North campus

  • 12 months to school age at Edgbaston campus

The nurseries operate from 7.30am - 5.45pm Monday - Friday, 50 weeks of the year. (We close for two weeks over the Christmas vacation).

Attendance can be full-time or on a sessional basis of morning and/or afternoon, enabling students to make flexible use of child care services.

Children are looked after in a caring, child-centred environment by experienced and qualified staff who provide a stimulating environment and cultural diversity of pre-school education. Hot meals (via an external caterer) are provided at lunchtime, as are morning and afternoon snacks, and there is access to FREE water and fruits. There are also facilities for rest or sleep. The children are all treated as individuals who are encouraged to achieve their full potential through play and guided activities. The nurseries have successfully undergone OFSTED inspection.

During half-term and summer holidays there may be a possibility we could offer additional places for children up to the age of eight, depending on availability.

Both Nurseries close during the year for staff planning and training days. You will be notified at the beginning of each term of our closure dates. (Although occasionally this may not be possible)

Nursery Philosophy
The philosophy of both our nurseries is the ultimate care of your child and providing for all their needs: physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural.

"We aim to achieve this within a happy and caring environment. The parental responsibility for your children is also recognized and respected."
