Contact existing students already at the University
For those already living in the UK
Many international students are already living in the UK when they begin to consider higher education and commence the application process. We strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of studying at the University to come and visit us if they are able to do so. We run a number of Open Days throughout the year, which are organised to help visitors get the most out of their visit to the University. They are open to everyone and include talks, tours, visits to individual faculties and departments including the Accommodation Services, the Union of Students and Student Services. No booking is required for these events. If you are unable to attend an open day, or would prefer to visit at another time, then please contact International Admissions and we will arrange for somebody to meet you and introduce you to the University.
Contact a student
You may find it helpful to speak to someone who is currently studying at the University. They can give you a genuine student perspective on the University, and tell you what life at the University is really like. You can talk to students from your home country, or to other international students. You can gather the fruit of their experience, and learn about both the challenges and the rewards of being a student at the University. And, of course, you can find the answers to all those questions you really want to ask, such as: does it rain all the time in Britain? And what is the nightlife in Birmingham really like?
Why not contact one of our global ambassadors and share their experience at the University. Its simple, just drop them a line and they will let you know what’s hot at the University. Alternatively, post a message on the Notice Board of the University International Alumni Association and we will forward it to on.
