Rhydian - You Don’t Have to Win to be a Winner! 

New imageStaff and students at Birmingham City University are offering congratulations and commiserations to X Factor finalist and former student Rhydian Roberts, who competed against 100,000 hopefuls to win a place in Saturday’s X Factor final.  He was narrowly beaten in to second place by Scottish contender Leon Jackson, whose percentage of the public vote on the night was just one per cent higher.

A 21-year-old actor from Birmingham has landed himself a role in an acclaimed National Theatre production, War Horse. Ashley Taylor-Rhys, who recently graduated from the Birmingham School of Acting, part of Birmingham City University, is now performing the role of Ned Warren, the cousin of the lead character in the play.

TASTE THE APPLE - TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS RETURN TO LEADING CITY TRAINING INSTITUTION

Next month sees the fourth series of Apple technology training sessions from the City’s New Technology Institute (NTI) in Birmingham. LEADING GAMES COMPANIES JOIN BIRMINGHAM CALL FOR TRAINING

Next month video game designers and developers will have the chance to meet some of the leaders in games design.
