We offer lots of opportunities for prospective students and advisors to come on campus

University Visits Tailored visits to meet the needs of a particular year group, often includes activities designed to develop skills required for researching HE options. Includes a campus tour and the opportunity to meet with current students (Student Ambassadors).

Masterclasses A diverse range of over 35 Masterclasses for Year 12 and 13 pupils aims to enhance the Post-16 curriculum and raise awareness of possible areas of study.

Pupils gain an excellent insight into various subjects, teaching methods and university life. A number of Masterclasses are also available to Year 10 and 11 pupils.

Talks and Workshops The Education Liaison team provides speakers for a wide variety of groups – students, mature applicants, parents, groups of teachers or careers advisers.

Summer Schools Free residential one week summer schools in July offer an academic and social programme to Year 10 and Year 11 pupils.

Conferences
Birmingham City University hosts a number of conferences for school and college students organised through the Education Liaison Service and often in partnership with organisations such as Aimhigher.

Open Days School group bookings are welcomed

Student Ambassador Service Student Ambassadors provide a current student perspective. They can attend school or college and work with pupils who may better relate to them and therefore be more willing to ask questions

Access Fair Widely publicised in FE colleges across the region, approximately 300 students from approximately 12 HEIs in the West Midlands attend.

Supporting Information and Guidance Advisers We are happy to organise visits to the University with the development of a programme to suit advisors needs on the day.

Publications In addition to the undergraduate and postgraduate prospectus, we have a non-traditional prospectus aimed at Year 9 to 11 pupils
