Birmingham City University alumni span the globe with more than 60,000 former students across 97 countries. We are here to keep you connected to the University, help you renew friendships and develop networks within your own country. We work with the University’s International Office to organise networking events in countries all over the world.

International Office Visit

Our International Office visit countries across the world. These visits are a great opportunity for you to catch up with the University and other alumni living in your country. The Alumni Association will contact you to let you know when the International Office is visiting your country.

International Presentation

The University has made the latest International Students Awards ceremony available for download from our website. This means that friends and relatives of international students can see the awards ceremony from anywhere in the world.

Pakistan Alumni Network
Alumni living in Pakistan are welcome to join the Pakistan Alumni Network that is being co-ordinated by alumnus Jalal Hassan. Jalal graduated from the Business School in 2003 with an MBA in Human Resource Management. If you would like to join this Network email alumni@bcu.ac.uk and we will put you in touch with Jalal.

All members of the Alumni Association can use our Find a Friend Service. If you have lost touch with your friends and would like to reconnect with them we can help you do this through out Find a Friend Service. Visit the message board to see if someone is looking for you.

Vietnamese Alumni

The British Council in Vietnam has developed a website for returned UK graduates with an aim to support and develop in-country alumni networks and activities. Registered alumni have the following exclusive benefits:

  • automatic lifelong membership of the British Council Information Centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
  • monthly electronic bulletin with information on events and activities as well as updates on the UK education
  • dedicated UKAV web site which contains a searchable database of UKAV members
  • invitation to an annual UKAV Gala in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
  • invitations to events throughout the year such as talks and presentations from visiting UK experts
  • your email address will be added to a UKAV email list which you can use to communicate with other alumni members
  • 10% discount when either you or your immediate family attend our Teaching Centre courses
